The Cleanest - A Preview of The Toxic Avenger

If you have ever tried framing photos, you might have realized that it is really easy to get dust and hair in the picture.  Try as you might, with all the constant wiping, blowing, and brushing, it only takes another breath before something else is on the glass.
When you work with frames, you got to keep a constant clean state.  But even with all the tools you can use, it only takes one prissy uptight customer to point out that there is a gray speck on their white mat and then you have to undo the whole piece to clean, re clean, and then put back together just to have them find something new...argh!

So to take my mind off the horror of staying clean and neat, I decided to re-watch one of my favorite messy movies in my messy room.   The Toxic Avenger!

Made by the now infamous Troma Entertainment, T.A. was there first time with horror (with a brilliant twist of gross comedy). In a weird twist to regular horror movies were the monster kills off innocent people in brutal ways, we have a hero monster saving children killing off villains in very brutal ways.  Like the Saw series, this brutal way of killing was OK by viewers because they were bad guys, and people don't care if bad guys get killed (cough, some bad history there...).  Mostly inspired by that whole messy Nuclear 80's craze (such as Swamp Thing and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles) which for a weird turn of events became more of an environmental prevention issue... but I'll talk about that later.
The weird thing about this series is how it has grown over the years, and I don't mean by it's size, but it's remembrance and style.  It's now a musical?
It's time to remember what the original was, so tomorrow I will start my review on one of the messiest, grossest, dirtiest series ever made.  Be prepared to feel dirty.
