They remade the THING!?!?!?!
WHY?!
I know it has been 30 years, but there is no reason for it to be remade. It's still one of the creepiest scariest movies ever made and I still drop my jaw at this scene.
I mean, I understand Spiderman, and even some other ones... but this didn't feel like it should have been remade. I mean, come on! How can this be?!
By the way, if you haven't guessed, The Thing is on the Disturbed List... but I will have to wait and see how the new one goes. I won't be holding my breath though...

My leg hurts...
Ordered some prints on canvas of my photography. The first batch came out really well and the next ones should be here at the beginning of next month. Then I can stretch and place on the frames I have for them. Going to enter a "red" contest with my rose and see If I can get some interest like I did with the painting from the last contest.
Been on eBay alot lately... trying to get some things for fun... like a slot machine and some dice.

Slave Before Royalty – A Scare Prequel Outline
Hey! Decided to write out the plot that I have finally gotten an idea on how to finish...
That made no sense when reading that, but I'll go ahead with it.
Here we go.
Slave Before Royalty
Part 1- In Line of the Throne
It starts with a girl named Corona walking out with other slaves into a Colosseum battlefield in front of a large crowd watching. As they go towards the middle, she tries to remember what is going on, why they are there, and what is about to happen. An announcer yells out to begin, and the gates on the side open to reveal large armored warriors with weapons, who start to walk towards the slaves.
Corona panics as the rest of the slaves try to run and most get slaughtered by the warriors. However, through quick thinking and noticing something strange about how they move, she is able to get one of the warriors to run at her and crash into the wall. She steals the warrior's knife and confirms that the warriors are all blind. She tries to defend herself but is quickly overpowered by one large warrior who will finish her off...
The warrior drops his weapon and falls to his knees. Corona sees a man walking along on the shadow of the warrior in a calm manner. The warrior screams to be released and gets kicked in the face by the shadow walker, who steps off of the shadow and kicks the body into another warrior.
Corona takes a look at her rescuer and sees that he has only one eye (his left eye is normal, his right is closed and hallow), short hair, metal boot tips, and no shadow of his own. He smiles and she sees smoke escaping from his mouth. He continues to fight, using only his legs and stepping on shadows to trip up opponents. However, after only a few seconds he breathes out smoke with a cough and tries to keep fighting, but he shakes and loses the strength that he had while he held on the smoke.
Corona steps in to help and they team up to take out who they can. But the one who got kicked in the beginning of the match wakes up and knocks Corona in the side. She falls with her weapon in hand and watches as the man who helped her collapses to his knees in exhaustion and coughing fits. The warrior picks up his ax and swings at the smiling shadow walker right at his neck.
Corona wakes up in an old prison like cell with the knife she took and wondering what had just happened. Only to be scared out of her skin by the shadow walker in a cell in front of her saying that he was glad she was his new neighbor. She asks the usual questions- Who he was, where is she, what the hell was going on, how they both survived, etc...
He tells her that she is at the Wrath Stadium, home of the Warriors who are blind from the bloodlust. Everyday they go out, fight, and slaughter each other to a crowd of onlookers who make bets of all sorts over who will live and how many will be taken out.
The trick, he points out, is that no one really dies in this place. As badly or close to death as they kill each other, they can be healed instantly by a plant call "Angel Leaf" that grows underneath the Stadium. They gain and switch out slaves (who are used as a default betting and begging warm up for the crowd) to see which ones are keepers and then put the losers out to the streets healed and with bad nightmares (because, says the man when asked, they mostly likely will come back to gamble when they get any money later). Winners and good fighters that are left are given trade ins from what they were able to defeat and betting chances as well to either upgrade there armor or buy provisions such as food (which comes in the form of plant leafs) or other items (which they get from a Greed Seller).
Corona introduces herself to the man and he introduces himself as Scare, because just as she jumped before, he is really good at making people afraid of him.
