Crimson Wing - The story of a dream

Before I go into this, there will be 3 types of fonts.  One will be like this, meaning that is is my editorial story and fill in for later.  The other will be like this, meaning that this is what I actually wrote down as soon as I woke up.  And the last will be this, where I pull interpretations that I had found while looking up meanings.  This was unlike any dream I had in a while and it shook me up a bit.  It wasn't scary or terrifying... just different.  And that could be a good thing...

I guess I should start with where this takes place.

To see a city in your dream signifies your social environment and sense of community. If you dream of a big city, then it suggests that you need to develop closer ties and relationships. You are feeling alienated and alone. To dream that you are in a deserted city indicates that you feel rejected  by those around you.

To me, it looked like a metal steam punk like city (except cleaner) where two people are talking to each other.  One is a princess, who is giving off this arrogant feeling, but is tall, very pretty with dark blonde hair, and nicely shaped (I can't remember if she was well endowed, but I do remember her eyes... very nice eyes).
The other was me...
And not me.
It was one of those third person dreams where I could be in first person, but could switch depending on what was happening.  I looked it up -

Your viewpoint or perspective in a dream can be insightful. First person, where you play ‘yourself’, shows that you have a fixed identity or character. This is particularly common in nightmares and anxiety dreams where you are quite caught up in your role as dream actor. The other most common perspective is third person where you witness the dream from an audience viewpoint as a disembodied watcher or point of awareness. Sometimes, though not always, this can point to feelings or situations which are not being felt or experienced (i.e. ‘you’ are ‘removed’ from the scene).

He (being both me and him) meets with a princess (I wrote down Cameal but I don't remember if that was her name ) of a over controlling king (as I later found out).

To see a princess in your dream represents the object of your affections or desires.
If you are male and dream of a princess, then it represents your sister or an important female figure in your life. Perhaps you feel you feel that you have come to save the day. It also suggests your desires for the ideal woman.

We talk for a bit, me acting very cocky (more than what I would usually do or say) and being a show off to the princess, who keeps trying to ignore me and acting like a brat who is bored and kinda spoiled.  I then shrug it off and start pushing her or chase her or she chases me as I try and get away (I can't remember) to the top of the water tower (it was built like a clock tower, with a waterfall coming from the middle of the building and leading into a water deposit that was clear and bright).  We get into an argument, her not wanting to be at the top and me just looking at the view.   I turned around, winked at her, and jumped off the water tower into a repo water supply.
I remember swimming very calmly in the water (I'm not afraid of it, having been around it my whole life, and never have any drowning dreams as I either can hold my breath for a long time, or just breathe the water in controlled way).  And as I look up to the surface of the water and see the light shine down, I see the princess splash in and struggle.  I look at her in surprise because I didn't expect her to jump

To dream that you are diving into clear water indicates that you have overcome your obstacles and setbacks. You have a new sense of confidence. Things are looking up. Alternatively, the dream indicates that you are trying to get to the bottom of a current situation or the root of your problems or feelings. It may also refer exploration of your subconscious.
To see others diving in your dream represents psychological and emotional balance.

I pull her out of the water and get her safely out, and as we dry off, she sees that his unclothed body has scars and part of his/my leg is missing (the mid region thigh, which would be where my leg problems are at) and is replaced by some clear cover that is see through to the bone.

To see a scar in your dream symbolizes your struggles, painful memories and/or the bad feelings that has never entirely healed and are still lingering in your mind. Perhaps you are living too much in the past as it is influencing and effecting your present life. Alternatively, a scar represents deep-seeded insecurities which may be holding you back from accomplishing your goals.

And even though I don't think I was one, this could also imply.

To see or dream that you are a cyborg implies that you need to balance your objectivity with your personal feelings. It may also mean that you are too rigid in your thinking.

When she sees the leg, she has a flashback, that leads me to third person again.
And this is where it gets really story driven...

The princess opens the window (topless, which makes her even more beautiful to me (yes, I'm sexist, but it's my own dream)), and looks outside to see a building on fire.  She talks to a soldier outside her window (covering herself up) and we find out that while she was having an affair with another person, a great disaster happened.  Apparently, she and her father were there to meet and greet with all the other royalty of the kingdoms, but there was one family that was attacked and almost destroyed.  The soldiers bring one of the injured close to the window and she looks at him, unable to see who it is because of a cloth on his face, but demanding that the soldiers take care of him
Then her father bursts in, seeing if she is alright, and sees the affair situation and they start an argument.  The window starts to close, and the injured man moves his cloth... and it's me.  And I whisper, "Thank you, my love."

Now, I personally don't know if that was when he fell in love or he had known her before and this cemented his feelings, but still...

We then return to current events, where we are still drying off.  And soldiers start to surround us

To see or dream that you are a soldier signifies discipline, structure, rigidity and your staunch attitude. You are imposing your opinions and feelings on others. Alternatively, a soldier means that you are preparing yourself to do battle over an issue. You feel the need to defend your beliefs, values and opinions.

As they pull her aside, her father the king (who is upset at all men dating or wooing his daughter).

To see a king in your dream indicates that success and prestige are within reach. You will rise above your problems and adversities. The king is symbolic of power and control. Alternatively, the king symbolizes your father or some father figure. You are looking for support.

He tries to attack me, but while we talk as I dodge he says he sees me as honorable, wealthy, and 'kiss-assingly' polite.  I then reveal that I am royalty as well and show him my marked arm.

Crimson Wing, the banished cursed injured prince.

Now, I tried looking up the name, but I couldn't find anything that I would have read or seen to think of that name.  But I did find this stuff -

To dream that you are a prince suggests that you are feeling important and needed. You may be admiring your own accomplishments.
To see a prince in your dream signifies your association with honor and prestige. You will be recognized for some task. Alternatively, it indicates your desires for romance.

To see birds in your dream symbolize your goals, aspirations and hopes. To dream of chirping and/or flying birds, represent joy, harmony, ecstasy, balance, and love. It denotes a sunny outlook in life. You are experiencing spiritual freedom and psychological liberation. It is almost as if a weight has been lifted off your shoulders
 Wings
To dream that you have wings suggest new found freedom. You are on the right track and are soaring to success without limitations. Alternatively, the dream means that you are trying to escape from a difficult situation. To dream that you have the wings of an angel indicate your sweet, angelic quality. Or you may be in need of some protection from life's stresses and problems. To see the wings of birds in your dream indicates your desire for a freer way of life To see a cardinal in your dream represents vitality and happiness. It also may mean first place or your position in the front.

The king to hesitates and freeze up in either fear or disgust like he can't trust anyone.
And I give a wicked smile.

And after a standoff, we leave for adventure.

I woke up, but then as I started to go back asleep, the next part started -

We meet an injured warrior on their travels (a blonde bandaged man).

Warrior
To see or dream that you are a warrior represents your ability to confront life challenges.
Injury
To dream that you are injured suggests that you need to work on healing old wounds and hurts. You need to stop and slow down. Consider where or how you were injured for further significance.

And go to a school that seems odd.  We play poker with the students (or at least I do) and hear about a fight club that was going underneath the school, and that people where being forced to fight.
SO we investigate.

To dream that you are in school signifies feelings of inadequacy and childhood insecurities that have never been resolved. It may relate to anxieties about your performance and abilities. If you are still in school and dream about school, then the dream may just be a reflection of your daily life and has no special significance.
Alternatively, a dream that takes place in school may be a metaphor for the lessons that you are learning from your waking life. You may be going through a "spiritual learning" experience.
To dream that you are looking for a school suggests that you need to expand your knowledge and learning. To dream that you are at a new school means that you are feeling out of place in some situation. Or perhaps there is a new lesson that you need to learn.
To dream that you are running away from school means that you are not being receptive to new ideas and viewpoints. You have not learned from your past mistakes.
To dream that your childhood school is in ruins suggests that you are dwelling on some unresolved childhood issue. Alternatively, the dream represents the passage of time. You need to look toward the future instead of reliving the past.
To dream that you are playing poker suggests that a situation in your waking life requires strategy and careful planning. You need to think things through before carrying out your actions. Alternatively, the dream may also be a pun on "poke her". Are you trying to get a girl's attention?
To dream that you are in a fight indicates inner turmoil. Some aspect of yourself is in conflict with another aspect of yourself. Perhaps an unresolved or unacknowledged part is fighting for its right to be heard. It may also parallel a fight or struggle that you are going through in your waking life. If you are fighting to the death, then it refers to your refusal to acknowledge some waking conflict or inner turmoil. You are unwilling to change your old attitudes and habits.
To see others fighting in your dream suggests that you are unwilling to acknowledge your own problems and turmoil. You are not taking any responsibility or initiative in trying to resolve issues in your waking life.

The rest I write out here -

We get captured and placed under the school with an underground ring of gladiators that fight under harsh rules.  The injured warrior accidently knocks someone out and gets his team peinialized heavily for it.  The captain of the team ( a woman) comes back with food and is angry at the guy.  CW tried to sway the conversation by talking about the desk surrounded arena, but the captain challenges "the nerf boy". CW sees that the injuired warrior is willing and says "No" his first sigh of not being in control.
And then I woke up.

And that's all I got.  I could write more about it, but I need to keep going with the next part of Shades of Fear.  I haven't had another weird dream like that in a long time... and not one with so much narrative.
Till next time.

  1. Hmm... Very interesting. A surprising amount of the meanings seemed to flow together with the story.

  2. That's what I thought to as I was looking it up. What got me was I hadn't been watching anything that I would think would lead to this. Don't know if it was built up from my own experiences or what, but it was... memorable.
