A new year, a lot more done

Well, the new year has begun.

I've been both busy and recovering ( I know, sounds fishy) and I guess I can update a bit right now.

"Feeding the Beast" should be out soon.  I think I will post it in 2 parts because it is a mystery story ( or at least, a small mystery happens and I want to give some time to let current readers think). However, this up coming week will be extremely busy for me as I will be working almost all through the week on multiple jobs.  I'll try to finish part 1 for next week, but no promises.

Finished watching some episodes of some series I've been trying to keep up on.  Including -

The IT Crowd
Psych
Serenity/Firefly
The Big Bang Theory
Doctor Who
and Sherlock

Quick reviews on these series -

The Big Bang Theory I started watching about 3 years ago and found it pretty neat.  However, I was told about a more adult British version called "The IT Crowd" and tried to give it a watch.  The first episode I just couldn't get past... but after some time I watched the second episode and got hooked on it.  It's like Red Dwarf with modern people.
I finally was able to watch Firefly and I sort of had the same problem, I couldn't get through the first episode early on.  It wasn't until later that I finally got really into it. Exactly like a live action Outlaw Star.
Psych I mostly re-watched for the commentary, which was playing in the background as I was writing, and it was fascinating to hear what happens behind scenes for a TV show like that.

As for Doctor Who, I have now seen Matt Smith's departure and John Hurts performance and even though I find it cheap that they rewrite major plot devices conveniently to give the Doctor more time...
It was nice.  A good (and I think better than his previous form) sendoff of his version of the Doctor.
Also seeing the 4th (Tom Baker) make an appearance made me tear up (he was my first and favorite of the old).

Sherlock... well, spoilers. *wink*

Anyway, that is it for now.  My birthday is coming up soon... and I have plans to make before that happens.
Later.
Will
