The Good -
I like the exploration of "being a villain" and the effect it could have on a mild manner person. To me, it tells that anyone within their own reasons, can do bad things. With Walt being driven by pride and last resorts, he turns to something that he knows that is bad and makes it to his advantage. Him turning into something harden and without mercy (which also comes from his pride) is almost hypnotizing. You want to keep watching to see how far he will go.
The Bad -
The drama. I mean mostly the family drama. I get that this sort of choice is stressful, and so is the fact that he is dealing with cancer... but I have such a hard time going through this. I have to keep pausing while watching cause it is making me bang my head on the table in frustration with this 'family' drama. I know people watch it for the drama because they think "Oh, thank goodness there are more miserable people out there then me"... but this is one of the reasons I don't watch TV much. I never like that. I pity them too much and it gets embarrassing watching them suffer like that.
I know I am a minority on that (considering the TV shows) but that's a problem for me.
The Good -
The comedy, when it appears, is spot on awesome. Hearing Walt talk to Jesse is like the odd couple. Two complete opposites trying to work together and banging heads over it. Even the drama between them is pretty good. I also like the stuff with the dealers (Badger's arrest was great). This is pretty much my only reason to stick with this show... besides the next good.
The Bad -
F-ing Skyler. She drives me nuts. I mean, at first, I could understand her being upset and mad for the secrets, but after she started smoking while pregnant, I lost all respect for her. She is a... *censored*
The Good -
SCIENCE!!! This is one of the best reasons to watch this show. With him being a school teacher, you learn some basic science facts to help you on your day... granted some are really dangerous and illegal... but it's SCIENCE!
The Bad -
It could get really depressing quickly... like in an instant. I guess that keeps people on their toes but man that's sad...
And finally.
The foreshadowing. This is both good and bad. The whole plot I see in this series is that it is going to end up like Scarface. He gets too powerful and then turns into a complete hazard. I also see it with the bodies and teddy bear isn't going to end well... I guess it's suppose to symbolize luck and connection to even the smallest things (every action, no matter how small, will have a reaction). But I mean, I guess that is the ultimate price for someone who goes down this road. "Breaking Bad" is pretty much it's name and that is what it is showing.
But that's just my two cents.
