All of it.
The End
...ok, let me say more.
If you haven't heard, most critics that go see this movie have been giving it a mixed review. Most people really like the beginning and completely hate the last 15 minutes. I can understand why some hardcore fans could cry foul, but I'm not a hardcore fan. I'm not even a real 'fan'. My parents use to watch Star Trek NG while I was a kid, but I could never get into it. It's basically the Navy in space with fantasy creatures. Just... eh. Never really could into it.
But... I did get into the new movie reboot for the series. I like all the actors and, even though I wasn't a fan, really liked the references made for the characters. It was action and drama and really REALLY good effects. I liked it!
But more about Into Darkness.
From what I can narrow down, they either love or hate Benedict Cumberbatch being "the special villain that everyone should have realized who it was but everyone is still trying to walk on eggshells about him because of spoilers". But I really have no problem with him. He gives a chilling experience and is extremely bad ass. I also hear about the problems about him being British... I don't think people realize they sound jaded and kinda racist when they say something like that.
The other thing I hear people complain about is what everyone is now calling "the switch". I still like that. It's a good lesson for both characters, so it works for story. It also fixes the problem that "Genesis" was creating for the series and the extremely elaborate way of bringing back Spock. And really, time wise, it's like an echo of another universe and I like that nod.
The yell of Khan was kinda lame... They needed another take or at least put it in a different place. It was too close to the "switch" and it seemed kinda rushed. But it didn't ruin the movie for me.
Overall, if you haven't seen it yet, go see it. I really liked it for action, effects, and visuals.
If you are a fan, just take it in stride.
