Was looking at Memedroid during a break writing today (long day, legs hurt, trying to finish a chapter)...
When I saw this - Scumbag Jackson
Ok... enough of this. Let's make numbers.
1. Peter Jackson didn't make 3 movies from 3 books. He made 6 movies from 3 books and still cut some things out from them.
2. You can see that Jackson is trying to lead up to the LOTR movies by giving forshadowing and plot points. He is also adding unfinished Tolkin stories to The Hobbit movies, while adding some more stories from the mythos of the place.
3. After watching the animated Hobbit... I really love the live action version better! I've heard people praise it constantly and use it as an example for how it could be done in one movie. But... have you seen it lately? It didn't age well. There is no fighting, the dwarfs only run away, and it's rushed.
4. These people seem like jealous haters. Jackson has done a great job in both art and entertainment and taking a beloved story and giving it life.
5. HE MADE BRAINDEAD!!! How can I not like the guy?
